For "The One" !

Prologue:- I wrote this poem a long time ago, in the midnight when it was raining heavily. I had attended a wedding that evening and i kept thinking of what i would do, wen eventually it wud be my  turn! ;)  I imagined all sorts of things i would do on that night, what i will wear, how the whole world around me will look et al! :P And then i realised for that day to be memorable...that relationship has to be beautiful (not  just the decorations and make-up!). And for that relationship to be beautiful it should have a solid foundation. So i made a promise to myself that i will tell the whole truth of my life and not leave a single detail hidden from "The One"! I will not just tell my past but also my expectations for future! :D This is a long poem written on a long night! But this is me pouring my heart out!!

   "I want a Life"

Since the day i entered this world,

I hav grown well in the human mould,

Day and Night, tears and Smiles,

Good and bad, truth and Lies,

Been a victim to many a manipulations,

Been a victor over painful tribulations,

Subject of many prejudices for being a female,

"you cant do this 'cause your a gal" they sed,

But I continued to be a staunch optimist i can confidently tell!

For many years i lived a typical and ideal life,

I was living but wasnt relly ALIVE!

I'm a gal who lived as she was told,

But now i want a life whose every moment

is spectacular enough to behold!

Dear One, if your reading this this now,

You i love the most and i must be ready to take the vow!

Exciting phase of life we are going through,

whats more exciting for me is that i'm going to start life now, anew!

I believe we live through many lives in one lifetime,

But i swear, for this life i have longed for long,

a life that can truly be mine!

As we start a new household and our destinies intertwine,

I'm pouring my heart out to tell you about the life i want,

want it so bad,which only you can give me now,

'cause I am your's and you are mine!

I want a life where demands are less

and lots to give away,

We'll pool our resources and keep most problems at bay!

I want a man who will stand by me

And also who would let me be ME!

You know i cant hurt anyone on purpose,

I'm very sensitive,

Cheerful, vibrant and also very talkative!

I promise i'l have your back wen need be,

But i want you to share,discuss and have a heart that is totally free!

I will take care of you and in return,

Just remind me once each day,

That you love me,

In a way that would make my heart sway!

Please let me shop till i drop,once a week,

I love having a big wardrobe,

And this can be a therapy for many women across the globe!

I wont fall in love so easy, if i do then i'll be honest to the tee,

I want a life of togetherness, where love is the essence in the recipe of satisfaction,

Life should be simple and beautiful words should be spoken through action!

I dont think there is anything wrong

to dream of a life you Want!

'cause the more you dream, the more you hope,

The more you hope, the more you have faith,

Faith has power to move mountains, they say!

So i really WANT a life with you,

A life so i can experience joy everyday!!!



Long one but written straight from the heart at 19 wen i was naive and single! I am 22 now, smart and  still single!! hahaha..Single 'cause i dont relly want to get into a relationship for the heck of it..i want a meaningful expreience. I'm hoping like every die-hard romantic, that a prince on a white horse comes galloping through mountains and sweeps me by my feet! :D Till den enjoy this beautiful song By Shania Twain!
